About the Author

The Story so far...

As a child I lived in a small canal side village in south Cheshire, UK. I spent hours in the fields, woods and by the canal with my family or friends. I loved the outdoors, and I still do.

I loved to write and was fascinated by the concept of elves, fairies and pixies; they often featured in my stories as I used to imagine them living in the garden and in the huge oak tree near my childhood home.

Mum reminded me recently how as a young child I said I would write books one day; being an author was my childhood dream, but I never pursued it.

I now realise the ‘you are not good enough’ belief lurking in my subconscious was probably the reason for that, so it became a distant memory and was rarely even thought of. Instead, life happened!

I have had a very colourful and busy life so far, with many awesome and fun memories and of course a bunch of heartbreak and challenges too.

Having children of my own inspired me to become a teacher, so I acquired a BA Hons in Primary Education and spent many years as a part time teacher whilst also being mum to four gorgeous daughters. I loved being a mum and a teacher; children have such a curiosity for the world and immense awe and wonder over the simplest things; something a lot of adults have long since forgotten.

My daughters are all adults now living their own lives, but we still encourage and support each other as we journey along life’s path, and we do have lots of fun when we are together.

Embarking on the healing journey I didn’t know I needed changed everything for me.

It has given me clarity on why humans suffer so much, and as such, allowed me to see the world differently. I have a whole new perspective on my past; I joined the dots and now understand the reasons behind much of my suffering. This allowed me to make peace with my past and the challenges I have faced. Whilst I don’t have all the answers, I know the transformation I have made so far has been life changing.

In recent years I worked as a Residential Development Manager and loved my job, but as I changed, it lost its appeal and I knew I had to leave.

Since then, my creativity has exploded, and I have written so much and done all kinds of art projects. I have impressed myself with the art I have produced…madness really as I have been adamant my whole life I couldn’t draw or paint; stick men were the only thing I could produce!

I am loving learning more and more drawing skills each week, and I am sure each book will reflect that …well that’s the idea anyway!

The months spent in Perth, Australia with Brax and Arlo, my grandsons, were such a gift. It cemented my knowing that children really are the most important people on the planet, and if humans get that right, the world would be a very different place.

How great would it be if the next generation of children could all grow up holding deeply rooted positive beliefs about themselves, and have a strong connection to the deep source of love within?

The intention behind the books is to assist with that, through the vehicle of fun, empowering stories.

So, better late than never, I am finally following my childhood dream to be an author (and rather surprisingly an illustrator too), and I am very excited to see how it all unfolds.
